The Ex-Disciple Singing - Sanjiban

Music composed by Sri Chinmoy

Sri Chinmoy passed away on October 11, 2007. I was a devoted disciple of this self-proclaimed Avatar for 7 years as a young man. I had euphoric experiences in the beginning that grew into loneliness and boredom at the end. Singing Sri Chinmoy songs was a part of my spiritual practice. I learned over 300 Bengali songs and performed in a men's singing group.

While CKG lay in his open casket in Queens, New York on October 13, I was Singing To The Dead outside my house in New Marlborough, Massachusetts.

Sri Chinmoy Ghose was a con artist Guru. He was only for himself. He was not an Avatar.

He gave me a super-8 movie camera in 1978 and told me to "entertain the world". In 1981 Chinmoy gave me the name Sanjiban, which I legalized. I would not trade my discipleship experiences for any other act on the globe.

Forgiveness is freedom.

Sanjiban
